Transferring Xbox 360 Gold account to xbox one

How do I transfer my Xbox 360 Gold account to Xbox One ... when I set it up (Xbox One that is) I used the suggested user name which is different from my Xbox 360 user name .... and I don't seem to have the Gold account attached to the Xbox One even though
I used the same email address and password .....

Silver on 360 will transfer points and achievements over etc to One then they will get gold rights under your primary gold One account.

 

First time use/setup

Hi. I've bought a day one edition for my boys a surprise for Xmas but not had a chance to test it yet. Because one of my lads already has a 360 in his room with his own gold account, I am going to set up the xbox One with his as the primary account fir the gold access as that way we can use the same gold account on his 360 and the shared Xbox one.

However, if I set the Xbox one up late one night presumably I will have to add the primary/gold account that it will use (I.e my son's) as part of the initial set up . Then I'll try it with one of the games. So by doing this, when he next uses his 360 will he see that his account had been used on an Xbox one? Obviously I don't want him to suspect there is an Xbox one in the house!!!

All you need to do is sign in to your XBOX One with the same credentials you use to sign in to the 360 and the account information will transfer. Happy Gaming!

The great news is you don't have to transfer your Xbox Live gold subscription from your Xbox 360 to your Xbox One because, it's a membership. The subscription is only attached to the account you bought it on and it can be used on ANY Xbox 360 or Xbox One
console. You can even have your subscription on multiple consoles at the same time (just don't try to sign in on more than one console with that account at the same time). All you have to do when you want to add your account to a console is enter your e-mail
address accosiated with your gold subscription and the right password for it as well and after a few moments everything should be ready to go. After that all that you need to do is enjoy your game of choice!

 

I am having the same issue. I am signing in with my xbox live info but it keeps creating a new profile instead of signing me into my already existing one.

 

Even here it posts my reply under an account I didn't create. This is the one the xbox one created. I get get into my old/existing one at all now

 

Make sure that you have the correct email address and password of your account.

If you're from an Xbox 360 moving over to Xbox One (assuming the your profile on your 360 is still available as well as the console itself)

-Turn on your Xbox 360

-Look for your profile and sign in

-Go to Settings > Account > Account Security

You should see the email address on the right column of the Account Security page.

OR

Simply sign in on your Xbox 360 and wait until the gamertag changes to the email address which is located on the upper right hand corner.
