  1. Transferring Xbox 360 data back to USB

I had an external drive plugged into Xbox and set up fine with my games and profiles on there, I want to move my content over to a USB, I copied the content of the external drive to my PC and copied that back to the USB, I plugged that USB into my Xbox and it is showing as 0kb in everything but shows 16gb has been used on the USB, is there something I need to do to the USB in preparation of moving my files onto it from my PC? Cheers

    :)

I understand if you are talking about reserved system storage on the external but I don't see that as it could probably be manipulated as you said.

I was 99% that as long as the external i plug in is the same as what was originally taken out, it should work? I thought the files where encrypted so that they couldn't be tampered with in the first place?

Got alot of saved games and profiles sat on my USB that I can't access "just in case" I modified them, which is very clear I have not 😴 people are modding files and easily getting away with it yet I can't even change storage device without losing everything.

I do understand that there are methods of backing up through the Xbox itself but this was not accessible at the time.

Probably some sort of hidden system so people can't manipulate it.

I'm not understanding, if the exact same files are present, what's making it not work? What if I moved the files back to the original external device, I don't see why that wouldn't work? It would be exactly the same as before I unplugged it and moved the files?

There's no legit way to move it back.

I gathered that now lol is there any way to go about recovering it as it has my profiles and saved games?

The files I moved back to the USB are identical and haven't been altered what so ever , I understand that they aren't meant the be moved like this however I thought as long as the USB is formatted correctly and the exactly same files are stored on it as my original external device, it wouldn't make a difference?
