Transferring Saved Data / Issue with Xbox One to Xbox Series X

Recently purchased a Series X, coming from the Xbox One. When I initially setup the Series X, I used the network transfer to transfer all of my games/apps and everything went fine, with all of my games data and apps transferring perfectly. I then moved the Xbox one to a spare room and tv leaving the Xbox Seriex X with our main tv setup. About 1 month or so later, my young daughter accidentally deleted one of the "Save slots" on the game "Spyro Reignted" from the Xbox Series X. The slot that she deleted was the one where the saved data was the furthers advanced in the game, and the game that I play. I remembered we still had the Xbox One and at least couple recoup most of the saved data from the Xbox one. I deleted the game itself from the Series X console and then did another network transfer from the Xbox One to get the game and data back. Although it did transfer the game itself, it did not fully transfer the latest data, only a portion of it. When I look at both consoles there is 9.6gb of Saved Data for Spyro on the Xbox One, and on the Series X there is only 1.6 mb. I've tried the network transfer twice with the same result.

Additionally I purchased a USB drive and copied the game from the Xbox One with saved data and then installed onto Series X, and having the same issue, only transfers the smaller amount of data. Today I purchased the Game Pass Ultimate thinking maybe the Cloud storage would update and. I could continue on the Series X from the Xbox One data, but still doesn't load the newer data. Does anyone have any ideas of has this happened to someone else? I'm about at my wit's end here. Thanks!

    :)

EAFC 24 - how do I transfer my game data from Xbox One to Xbox Series X?

Hello Kiran B, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

To transfer your game data from Xbox One to Xbox Series X for EAFC 24, you can follow these steps:

Check for cloud saves: Confirm that you have enabled cloud saves for EAFC 24 on your Xbox One. To do this, go to the "Settings" menu on your Xbox One, select "System," then "Storage," and finally "Manage storage." From there, you can check if your game data is being saved to the cloud.

Install EAFC 24 on your Xbox Series X: Install the game on your Xbox Series X using the same Xbox Live account you used on your Xbox One. Ensure you are using the same account to maintain continuity of your game data.

Launch the game on Xbox Series X: Start EAFC 24 on your Xbox Series X and sign in with your Xbox Live account. Once in the game, check if there is an option to access cloud saves or import data.

Look for a data transfer or import feature: Some games, including EAFC 24, may have specific options within the game menu to import or transfer your previous game data. Check the settings or options menu in EAFC 24 on your Xbox Series X to see if there is a feature available to bring in your Xbox One save progress and Ultimate Team data.

Contact EA support if needed: If you don't find a specific data transfer feature in the game or if you encounter any issues, it's recommended to contact EA support directly. They can provide you with further assistance and guidance on how to transfer your game data successfully.

Remember that the availability of save data transfer options can vary depending on the game and the developer's implementation.

    Best regards.

Transferring Saved Data / Issue with Xbox One to Xbox Series X

    Hi, GinaLupino!

    Thank you for your reply.

If your Series X didn't automatically attempt to sync the game's data, then please give this a try:

    - Quit the game.

    - Go to Settings > System > Storage devices > Clear local saved games. This will delete all the local saved data on your console and force your console to sync with the cloud the next time you launch each game.

    - Once your console restarts, try launching Spyro again.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Transferring Saved Data / Issue with Xbox One to Xbox Series X

Hi AJ Thank you for the information. I will try this and hopefully it works. It's just odd because you mention it only transfers the game itself, but how come when we first setup the Series X, it did transfer the full saved data along with it? I do still have the full saved data on the Xbox One because we've been playing on that console the past few days, but of course would like to get the full data onto the new Xbox so we can play it on that console. Thanks again and I will try these steps and let you know how it works out.

Transferring Saved Data / Issue with Xbox One to Xbox Series X

    Hi, GinaLupino!

My name is AJ, I'm an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.

I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time getting your saved data back.

Doing a "Network Transfer" only copies a game from one console to another, not the saved data for it. This is also the case with the USB drive method you tried.

The following steps are your best chance at getting your saved data back:

    * Please keep in mind this will only work if your Xbox One X's local save hasn't been overwritten.

1- Turn your Xbox Series X off. You must leave it off throughout this process.

2 - Turn your Xbox One X and do not open the game.

3 - If you own Spyro digitally, log into your account and go to Settings > General > Personalization > My Home Xbox > Make this my Home Xbox. This will allow us to launch the game while the console is offline.

** If you own a disc for this game, then please disregard step #3.

4 - Go to Settings > General > Network Settings > Go offline.

5 - Launch Spyro and play. You don't need to play for a very long time, you just need to make enough progress for your console to update your local saved data for this game.

6 - Without quitting the game, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide and go to Settings > General > Network Settings > Go online.

7 - Keep playing Spyro on your Xbox One X. If you need to take a break, please make sure your console stays on. This will give it enough time to upload your local save to the cloud.

8 - The next time you launch Spyro on the Xbox Series X, you will see a screen pop up that says "Syncing data for Spyro" and you might get a prompt to choose between the console's local save and what's saved on the cloud.

    I hope this helps!

I'm sorry if this is all a bit confusing, please let me know if you have any questions.

Transferring Saved Data / Issue with Xbox One to Xbox Series X

I tried this option with deleting the saved game/clearing local game, the console restarted and loaded the game, and it started back with the same saved slots as before I deleted it. It did not offer the Cloud saved data from the Xbox one. Is there anything else we can try? Currently I just have the old Xbox One hooked up and we have been playing on this console. Thanks!
