Transferring remainder of Xbox Live Gold to new Xbox One S All Digital

Hi All,

Say I have an Xbox 360 with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription with several months remaining. If I buy a new Xbox One S All Digital and sign in with the same gamer tag will the subscription transfer to the new Xbox One S All Digital?

If he did accidentally create a new account. Log into the old one and set it as home xbox. Than both accounts can use the same subscription.

Yes. Gold is tied to the account. So you'll still have your subscription.

Thanks for your help people! Its my sons console and he says the Gold subscription did not carry over. I will have to do some investigation tomorrow and report back :0)

Subscriptions and digital games are tied to the account that made the purchase. If you switch to a new console and log in with your account your subscriptions and digital games will be available there. All you have to do is to redownload your games.
