Transferring OFFLINE progress to Live Account

I'm a god mom - so no flaming me. I could be your mom and then I'll change the wifi on you and won't turn it on until after chores.

Anyhoo - this is my problem. I created from my account on the web for my kids. I even picked really good usernames that won't show age, sex or real names and at the same time be kinda cool with half a joke in there (that was hard) so any suggestions that
I create new ones will be more then frowned upon.

I set up their account with security settings, and I also set up their Xbox settings. As I understand now (after searching a lot) I shouldn't have done that, but instead moved to the xbox console and opened their offline accounts to add their new e-mail
    addresses there.

MICROSOFT - ADD A WARNING SCREEN TO THE PROCESS - DO YOUR CHILD ALREADY HAVE AN OFFLINE XBOX ACCOUNT? FOLLOW THESE STEPS! No other mother should have to endure this like I am.

So, for real - I need to transfer their offline game progress to their new online accounts. How do I do that?

And if the answer is "you can't" then Microsoft... you need to get on this *** now and solve it. I can't bake that many cakes and I will ruin summer for my kids. There might be a risk of me throwing it all out and move over to PS3 just because I'm a mom
and my rage against devices that don't work with me sometimes will force my hand and I destroy said devices. I can afford it. I don't want to though. I want to be a nice mom.

With those threats to inanimate objects I'll add a bonus (I said I was a good mom). I will get my sons Minecraft. And a LiveID allowance. There is money to be made here.

Many thanks in advance for your swift, polite and solutions to my probelms that include me being a hero to my kids, and not a good news/bad news mom.

    /Pia

    :)

    Loading a game save

I started fable II on an alternate offline profile a while back, and went to play on my LIVE account and only registered a new game. Is there any way of transferring the game save of the offline account onto my live account to continue? Thanks.

Sign up to live during game

Signed into your offline profile, if you choose the option to Join Xbox LIVE, you can attach an unused email to your profile, and upgrade it to a LIVE account. This would be the only way to use your offline profile's progress on a LIVE account, as there
is no way to move the save progress to another profile.

Transferring OFFLINE progress to Live Account

I am however open to the possiblity of deleting their new gamertag and take away all associations with the new Xbox account that I created. It's empty - it's their offline that is filled.

However I can't do that on my side - all I can do is to delete the Microsoft Account all together and that is a definate no.

Ok, this is gonna be a rant, but you deserve it Xbox and I will tell you why.

According to the support (helpful as far as they can) informs me that this cannot be done. I'm very unhappy about that. Well, it can be done but with a waiting period of 60 days to transfer it to a 'new' account (it's not new though, and
you know it Xbox. You are being very very bad). "To protect from game progress theft."

They didn't say that, becasue I get it - it could be a credit card configured along with an account. But the thing is that the account should not be transferred. It's an offline thing to an online. The offline doesn't have a credit card so there. You know
    I'm right.

The "fix" is to start over and after a long chatt with support I decided to do so. Even though you know Xbox, you are waisting my time in a non-intended way. I like to play games too, but this is different. This is just messing with me.

I tried to create the account on the consol this time, but I freaked out because I had to add every *** piece of infomration about ME as well. I get it - I'm the parent and need to verify the account. But my adress and credit card info ("not to be saved
    - just to see that you are an adult") are in my account. I log in to my account and verify that I am who I say I am. Send me a *** text or to my verification app (yeah, got that too).

What happens next you think? Smooth sailing? No such luck my friends.

I create the new e-mail adresses and Microsoft Accounts on my computer and I'm very careful not to add anything about xbox. Then I go over to the console again, and now it starts better. I go into one of my kids offline accounts and go to add the live account.
I craft the new e-mail with the handcontrol (type? no, craft is the correct term). The account is attached to mine but still I have to add ALL MY DETAILS AGAIN.

Do you know how long time it takes to write your entire address and credit card information on a hand control? And you are not even going to save it. Ask me some question about the *** card or send me a text. You have all my info in my Microsoft Account.
I've even got the app to confirm requests.

Then what. "The live registration is offline at the moment, please try again later."

It tool all of my restraint to not throw the *** thing out the window. Today my kids are with their grandmother so I'm compleatly alone and can concentrate. What would have happened if my kids were here and where jumping up and down to play the new XYZ game.
"Mom, mom, mom, are you done yet, are you done yet, are you done yet?"

Xbox - why do you hate me? You are now grounded. Wifi is offline to you. It's 1985 as far as you are concerned!!! Don't ever use this tone to me again! Ever! Now you can focus on cleaning up your processes and make it neat and tidy. Easy to use. Easy to
    configure. Easy to manage.

What was that look? Do you WANT ME to cancel the Gold subscription? Because I'll do it young man!

THIS IS THE ANWER ON HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR KIDS ACCOUNT FROM OFFLINE TO A LIVE ID

There is a way to transfer accounts - takes 60 Days. Ask for it when you Contact support. I didn't do it so I don't know.

The Live registration wasn't offline or anything - it just didn't accept the promotion for kids account.

This is the way it worked for me:

    1. I signed in to microsoft account with my personal account.

    2. Under FAMILY I add accounts for my kids, I create a new e-mail for them

    3. Set the age to above 18 years

    4. Step away from the computer

    5. Go to the consol

    6. Log in with your kids offline account

    7. Under social, go past the avatar and click 'join the fun'

    8. Register

    9. Use the new e-mail adress you created

Voila!!! The accounts progress, achievements and Everything gets transfered to the new acount and the old is deleted.

For good measure, log in to your kids acount and set the age right. Good luck. I hope that I can save other moms and dads some sweat blood and tears.

  8. Transferring OFFLINE progress to Live Account

I just got the same issue.

Tried registerings a Live account directly from the XBOX for my childs offline profile. Got me as far as to enter information about myself then at the end got "The live registration is offline at the moment, please try again later.".

Tried several times, the same thing again and again.

Directly afterwards tried again on PC. Sure enough, it works perfectly to create an Xbox live account, so it was not "offline" anyways?, but now there is no connection at all to the offline profile.

When I now on the offline profile on the Xbox use the option"Join Xbox live" with my son's email. oooh, no-can-do, "this email is used for another Xbox Live account".

I cannot in any way see why this should not work.......
