Transferring licenses/profiles between 360s

ok. So i have a bit of a problem. Years ago i bought a 360 and had a profile on it and bought games/DLC for that 360. But after a while i forgot the password for it so i made a new account. Now 6 years later, i get a 360 from my brother who no longer uses
it. I transfer the profiles/Games/ DLC etc to the new 360. But because i don't know the password to my old email. I cannot play or even use the games/DLC i bought with that profile. What do i do?

Have a picture of both profiles i use on my 360 as well for any mods that can help.

License Transfer Question

A license transfer won't get you banned. The system is set up for license transfers. If they were transferring licenses between profiles that could get you banned.

Yes, the local profile. The licenses are tied to your profile, and if you're logged into Live, then you won't have any issues. Transferring licenses are also a thing, but that's only between consoles. Everything is sync'd to your online profile. Save games
are separate, as are avatar accessories.

You have a couple options to try.

You can either try to recover the password to the email account tied to the gamertag (which I'm sure you've tried already).

The other option to try to recover the gamertag is to follow the steps here to do an account recovery:
Recover your account

Be aware you will have to answer a number of questions to aid in the recovery as well as to ensure you are the owner of the account.

I'm hopeful one of those two methods will aid you I getting into your account.

you need to do a license transfer onto the console with the purchasing account but the license cannot be transfered between accounts

however both profiles can then use it

Actually, download content is not transferrable between profiles. If you are trying to transfer it to another profile, that will not work.

A license transfer switches it between consoles, but does not change the registration on which gamertag downloaded it.

Once fully transferred to another console, license and all, other profiles should be able to play it though.

There is no way to transfer licenses between the 360 and One, so your licenses would remain the same on the 360.
