Transferring Halo 3 save file between accounts

My friend was using my Xbox account to play halo 3, I was hoping there was a way to transfer his save to his account and possibly the achievements too. Is that possible?

Is there a way to change what account owns the save file? My friend has a different account on 360 than on X1 but wants to transfer characters.

Question about save files

Game save files can not be transferred between separate profiles.
As to the location of save files, there are 2 separate ones. If you go to the game you want, press start on it, select manage game it'll bring up the game files and on the far right will be the save data. The other save area is in the cloud if your connected to the internet.

nope nothing is transferable between accounts and even if you could transfer saves the achievement unlocks would be not functional on the other account sorry.

Depends on the game, if hte game is cross-play the save files are transferred between PC and Xbox. Game that allow Cros-play for example are: Halo MCC, Forza Horizon 4 and Gears of War 5
