Transferring games

Alright, my Xbox 360 kicked the bucket. It will not boot up past the Logo screen. However, I need to determine whether it would be more beneficial to simply replace my 360, or upgrade to a newer gaming system.

I searched through the backwards compatibility list and noticed only a hand full of the LEGO games are actually backwards compatible. My issue, I own all of the hard copy LEGO games for the 360. I would like to know if there is anyway to transfer or swap out
hard copies of games for the 360 to the Xbox One. For an even swap, I don't think it's fair to have people need to purchase all of the same games again if they plan to update. For the many of us who can't afford both consoles this is a big deal.

Unless someone knows how to fix my console(Because I've honestly tried everything.).

It wouldn't work. The licenses would be tied to your gamertag so it would only work if your gamertag was signed into Live on that console, and since you can't connect to Live, it wouldn't work.

sorry i should of said i cant connect his console to live i bought it second hand and it got banned about 6months later was not happy ,so now thats just used by my kids ,thats whty i wanted to no can i download it on mine then transfer it using memory stick
both consoles have the same gamertag on them

There would not be a way to swap those games. Not all of them have a One version either. If you'd rather be able to play all of those games, you'd probably be best purchasing a new 360.

if I was you I would just replace my 360 and not get the One. only the games that are compatible with Xbox one will work on Xbox one and you cant buy them from the store unless their also made for Xbox one. also Xbox one requires all your games to be downloaded
and you wont be able to play much games. for instance my Xbox one is a 500gb storage though I can only play 7-9 games because downloading them takes a lot of space and it takes forever to download(over 2 hours for a 50 gb game) games like call of duty and
halo take a lot of space. so your best option would be to buy a new 360

The license transfer only transfers game licenses between console. There is now way to transfer games between accounts.

The license transfer only transfers content lisenses. It does not transfer game saves. You would have to use a data transfer cable as suggested or a usb drive to transfer the saves.

If you know for certain it is corrupted, avoid doing a transfer. You could transfer content but the odds are good that the content will be corrupted in the new HD. Transfer cable transfers game saves, profiles, achievements, game licenses etc.
