Transferring games, data and progress

Hi all,

Sooooooo, I've recently split up with my wife and left the family home.

My problem is that my sons plays on the Xbox but uses my outlook account to do this. Whilst I am comfortable with him playing on the Xbox, my ex-wife still has access to my emails using my sign in details which she can obtain from my son.

So the question is, can the sign in email (my email) which is used to log onto Xbox (which has all the games and data on it), be changed, so that my ex-wife's email address is used to sign into the Xbox account?

Hello Brad,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you want to change the
primary email. You can do this, however, your email must stay on the account. If you remove the email it will delete the email entirely. Keep your email as the secondary email.

With this transfer method, if I transfer a game, for example, and start it on my original profile from my Xbox, will all of my data and progress be saved?

Hello alienhunter, game data such as game saved progress and achievements are linked to the GT and cannot be transferred to another ID.

No i'm sorry but on other gaming platforms it's not possible to transfer game progress, only if you play on Windws 10 with Xbox Ultimate you can transfer saved data.
