    Transferring Game Saves from Xbox 360 to Xbox One without using Cloud Storage.


    A few years ago the HDD for my Xbox 360 slim died. It was able to start but it required an update before I could do anything. The updated required a storage devices, but since the drive was dead there was none to select.

    However, I was able to resolve the problem by putting in a 16Gb flash drive and using that as the storage device. This worked, but I was not able to connect on to Cloud Storage because it required 514Mb of storage. For some reason it wasn't recognising
    the flash drive as having storage space. But since I didn't use it, I was able to continue doing what I was doing.

    Flash forward to today and I have a new Xbox One X and now I want to transfer save game data, for games that are supported via Backward compatibility, to my new console. Plugging the flashdrive into the Xbox One doesn't work.

    So, without using Cloud Storage, is there a way I transfer save game content from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One?

    Xbox Live Cloud Save

    Cloud is an online storage that can be accessed using Xbox Live Gold for Xbox 360 consoles and Internet connection if Xbox One. Basically, if you have cloud, your game saves get stored to your console's local storage and the cloud. Let's say for example
    you performed a factory defaults for your Xbox One or format of hard drive for your Xbox 360, your save games from the local storages would get deleted but since you have cloud storage, your save games can be retrieved. This is why cloud can be considered
    as your back up.

    Unfortunately the cloud is the only way to transfer 360 saves to the One.

    You can't transfer save data directly from the cloud saves. Some BC games allow you to upload your xbox 360 game saves to cloud so you can use them in your xbox one as long as you play online.

    Hello welcome to the forums!

    You want to transfer The Save Files?

    You can't transfer games from your Xbox 360 to your Xbox One.

    On Storage you have a Drive that it's your cloud and you can transfer your save files.

    Then on your Xbox One download the games (that are backwards compatible)

    Sorry for the frustration.

    The only way to get the Save game data from your 360 to work on the Xbox one is to use the cloud save feature. You mentioned that you used your Gold on the Xbox one. As long as you used the same Profile the Gold will also work on your 360. Gold is
    tied to your account.

    if you used a different Profile on the Xbox one then the saves wouldn't work anyways they are assigned to your Profile and can't be transferred to a different one.

    Since your disk tray isn't working in your 360 is here a Link that tells you how to transfer those games without needing to open the game.

    I hope you are able to get this resolved. 4000 hours in Skyrim is incredible and I would hate to see you lose all that information.
