Transferring game save via xbox 360 transfer cable to xbox one

I no longer have my xbox 360, but do have the hard drive with all my saves on it. Before i buy the cable, is it possible to transfer game saves via transfer cable to the xbox one? How would i go about doing that if its possible. Thanks in advance for any

Will the xbox 360 data transfer cable work for transferring save files, games, and dlc over to the xbox one?

Crossplay is not an issue, but play anywhere potentially is. On 360 many of the CoD/GTA hacks were profile/saved file based. What this means was a player would transfer their save to the PC (using USB/transfer cable) and modify the files. A modified console was not required.

It is my understanding that it's not possible on XB1 yet, but with Play Anywhere's save transfer, it could be. So in theory someone could start a game on PC, mod their save file to give all perks, cars, etc. then transfer that back to their Xbox. I would assume that at some point MS will have some sort of save file verification when transferring save files from PC to Xbox and vice versa.

 

Hi, no that is not possible, The only thing you can do (if you still had your xbox 360) was move the saves to the cloud.

 

Transfer cable won't work. Your best option would be to borrow a friend's 360 (or visit them) for a few minutes so you can plug in the hard drive and transfer your saves to the cloud storage.
