    Transferring from one system to another


    During a move my Xbox 360 was dropped and of course if does not work anymore. It will turn on but after a little play, it freezes and I get the red light. I want to purchase a new system. My current is 250GB and I want to purchase the 4GB. My question
    is, how do I get the games and achievements that are on my current system over to the new system? Is that something I could do through Live? I have a Gold membership. THanks

    Question about license transferring!

    Not possible. There's no way of effectively transferring DLC to another account in full, let alone on another system.

    Transferring from one system to another

    If the console that you dropped was a slim console then you just need to move the hard drive to the new console.

    If it wasn't then you'll need to get a new hard drive and transfer cable (official microsoft, not 3rd party) and transfer the data to the new console.

    Don't forget to do a license transfer to the new console as well.

    You can also redownload content from your download history. This can be accessed from the console by going to System>Accounts>Download History. If your console is an older version and you don't want to get a new hard drive and you have a friend who has
    an older system you can plug your hard drive into their console and move your game saves to the Cloud service for easy transfer.

    Sorry, this is not possible to do. The use of the license transfer system in this way is not prohibited. A license transfer cannot be used to transfer one piece of content from one console to another. It transfers all licenses from one Xbox 360 to another Xbox
    360, not from one Xbox LIVE account to another Xbox LIVE account.

    You cannot transfer it to from one account to another. However as long as that account is on the same system as his profile and all licences are still there then any account should be able to access from the same system.

    The only way to transfer MS points from one tag to another is if both tags are part of the Family Gold Pack and the main account transfers points to another within the pack.

    However, if you want to purchase some DLC for use on another account on the same system that is not a problem. So long as the account that downloaded the content is not banned all other accounts on that system have access to the DLC.
