Discus and support Transferring from One External Drive to Another in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am upgrading from a 1TB external HDD to a 2TB external HDD and want to know if I can connect both drives and transfer all my installed games and apps...     Transferring from One External Drive to Another


    I am upgrading from a 1TB external HDD to a 2TB external HDD and want to know if I can connect both drives and transfer all my installed games and apps between the two. I am not sure if I can even connect 2 drives simultaneously, and if I can if they will
    show up as two independent drives or just one large "External Storage" option.

    Anyone do this before?

    Xbox One transfer cable from the 360 to the One ?

    HHHHmmmmm good call. I will have to see about transferring my 360 content to a external drive and hope the ONE can see that content from a external drive but im HOPING for a easy transfer cable. However if they dont i could download data over time.

    Yes, you can connect two simultaneously.

    Transfers should work with two....takes times but you shouldn't be limited

    If you’re just upgrading to a bigger external hard drive you just need to reinstall the stuff on the new one or plug them both in and transfer from one another

    Thank you for reaching out! You should be able to transfer your PC games from one computer to another via an external hard drive.

    "can i copy xbox one games from one external hard drive to another" Currently, you can only have two copies of a game (well, three if you count the one that's always in the cloud). One copy on your Xbox and one copy on a single USB 3.0 external drive. However,
    you should be able to have two external drives plugged into the Xbox and use the Move command to transfer the game/games from one to the other.
