    Transferring DLC

So I've done some research on this, wasn't too sure on the answer and just needed some clarification so that I'm 100% sure lol

    1. I download DLC on my xbox that has my account as well as my girlfriends account. Now we have the DLC accessible to both our accounts

    2. Then I recover my gamertag/sign in on my brothers xbox, then redownload the DLC and transfer license to that console. Now my brothers account on the second xbox will have access to the DLC. Correct?

    3. Now once I resign on my xbox (with my girlfriends account and my own), we still have the DLC accessible to BOTH of us right? So now my brother and I can play the DLC together or my girlfriend and my brother can play the DLC together, right? We don't need
to redownload to retransfer licenses or anything do we?

    Thanks

    :)

License transferring to get DLC (or a skin pack) is a bannable Xbox Live offense, fyi.

That is basically marketplace theft, and would get you all banned.

Also just to add, if you were to do the license transfer on your brother's console, your girlfriend would only be able to access the content when you are signed in. She would no longer have access to it on her account.

When I'm signed on, as in she can only access DLC if we're playing coop if said DLC even allows that? So if I'm home using my brothers console but using my account, I wouldn't be able to play with my girlfriend on our console?

    Transferring DLC

She would only be able to access the content from your account. And you would only be able to use it while signed into Live. If you were to try to play offline you wouldn't be able to access it. The console license can only be on one console at a time.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but would games I bought on a 360 show up on an Xbox One once I hook it up to Xbox LIve? (Note: I have been away from gaming and Xbox for 3 years).

No. The One is not backwards compatible so nothing would transfer over.

The option to transfer DLC from the 360 version to the One was ended a while ago. Even when it was available, only certain DLC was transferable but not all.

    About transfering content licenses..

as you do not want to download the dlc again, you can use a transfer cable to transfer the dlc and other data to your new hard drive, this will work even if you have not transfer the content licences. the content licences only activate the dlc so you can
    play them.
