Transferring dlc from profiles

Content cannot be transferred from one profile to another.

But data ie, game saves and DLC can be transferred from one HDD to another via a data transfer cable, but will only work under the profile that it was downloaded into.

Just to be clear, license transfers are not meant to be used for sharing content. They work for transferring ownership from one console to another, not from one profile to another. For example: If your brother bought the Dragonborn DLC then
gets a new Xbox 360 console, he can use a license transfer to transfer ownership of the content to the new console. But it cannot be used to transfer ownership to your profile.

If you are wanting to play the DLC that he purchased on his profile, you will need to be logged into his profile to do so.

Are you logged into his account while trying to access the Dragonborn DLC?

There is no way you can transfer game saves, achievements, or dlc from one profile to another.

I did a license transfer from an Elite to a Slim about one year ago, all though any profile on the Elite was able to access DLC before, after the license transfer process was completed, ONLY the profile that actually purchased the DLC was able to use it
on the new console, any other profile had to buy it "again", eventhough it was on the HD, another profile was unable to access it...

Hello when you licence transfer you need to re download all DLC's again so any other profiles can use them.

Also do you not own your old profile any more? did you give it to someone else?

When you purchase stuff on a profile it stays with that profile which means if you lose access to your account then you have lost your DLC the only way that i know of to keep it is to licence transfer from the account with the DLC but once you get a new
Console you will need to transfer again...
