Transferring DLC from one HDD to another

Hopefully, I can properly explain this question. For my XB1, I have two external HDD. HDD 1 is filled up but HDD 2 is not and it is my default HDD. Both HDD are always plugged in at the same time. I have Injustice 2 installed on HDD 1 because I bought the
game while I was still using HDD 1. When I buy a DLC for Injustice 2 from Xbox.com or Microsoft Store on the XB1, the DLC is automatically installed on HDD 2 even though the Injustice 2 is on HDD 1 because HDD 2 is my current default storage. Make sense. I
would then to transfer the DLC from HDD 2 to HDD 1. Understand?

Ok, so my questions are 1) Can I designate what storage to install a DLC prior to the start of installation? Or can the XB1 knows to just install the DLC in the same storage location as the main game? I think the answer is no because the XB1 have automatic
download. The PS4 does not have automatic download, so can select where you want it. I think the only solution is that I have to keep changing the default storage on the XB1 prior to the start of installation. But that is annoying and sometimes hard. Again,
because the download starts automatically. Can I turn off auto download? And just leave the item in my ready to install? Would that work for DLC too?

    2) Several of my games are in this situation where where the main game is on HDD 1 but several DLC are on HDD 2. Unfortunately, I do not know what games are like this nor do I want to go through all 287 games checking to see. Is there a way to transfer all
DLC from HDD 2 to go with the main game on HDD 1? When I search the HDD 2, I can only see the DLC of games that are installed on HDD 2. But not the DLC of games not installed. For example, if FF15 is installed on HDD 2, I can see the DLC too on HDD 2. However,
I can't see the DLC for Injustice 2 on HDD 2 when I search HDD 2 because Injustice 2 is not on HDD 2. The only way I can now the DLC is on HDD 2 is if I look at the manage content from the game. But that would require me having to check all 287 games. Which
I do not want to do.

Tl;dr question 1) can I individually designate a download/install spot for DLC without having to keep changing the default storage and 2) can I transfer DLC from one HDD to another without having to go into manage content on the game. Thanks.

    :)

  4. Transferring DLC from one HDD to another

Probably the easiest solution would be to move your games from the HD that they are on to the HD that the DLC is on

that can be done in settings

  5. Hey there,

Unfortunately, this is true. You would have to be able to create some kind of rules or exceptions for downloading for each individual game and the system doesn't have this kind of feature. It will download where it's been designated to try first and after
that it will auto download to the next available slot that can accommodate it. Having multiple save destinations can create such scenarios. We recommend sorting your content using a system. One external for purely storage, or another for heavy DLC titles,
and your internal for apps and favorites. This way you can download titles and sort them into the appropriate drives. Hopefully this helps. Thank you.

    Please help me

Content cannot be transferred from one profile to another.

But data ie, game saves and DLC can be transferred from one HDD to another via a data transfer cable, but will only work under the profile that it was downloaded into.

    dlc will not work

these are the troubleshooting steps to fix dlc.

    1. delete profile only

    2. delete dlc from hdd

    3. clear hdd system cache

    4. reseat your hdd

    5. redownload profile

    6. redownload dlc from download history in account management.

since you already did a license transfer you cannot do another one for 3 or 4 months.

try this steps in this order and it should work.

    Xbox Backwards Compatibility Transfer Cable

The data transfer cable is used to transfer the entire content of a harddrive from one HDD to another for the Xbox360

DLC, games and savefiles will just be available for download but will not be transferable through the transfercable. Savegames need to be saved to the cloud on the Xbox 360 before they are made available on the Xbox One the other content will just be available
as a marketplace download or from the ready to install list
