Transferring data from xbox to laptop.

I already have Minecraft on my xbox but I still have to pay for it on my macbook i paid 30 dollars on xbox already for the game and I went to the microsoft store went through verification but I still have to pay.

the game is not a play anywhere title, you have to buy for each platform you want to use it on.

Can i use a USB Stick to transfer the data to my laptop, then transfer it to my new xbox tomorrow?

You can not transfer anything that is from the PC version of MineCraft to the xbox version. Connecting a ether net cable to the Xbox from the Laptop will not enable you to transfer anything into the game, you may be able to transfer some types of memory
data, depending on what it is. A program is available however that can change formats of the game to enable you to play the game on either system, but using such programs is not allowed and is considered modding, which is against the Xbox Live Code of Conduct
that everyone must Accept when they start their membership.

Something else to try is power the xbox off, remove the hard drive you're transferring the data from, connect the data transfer cable to the xbox and power on, once the xbox reaches the dashboard connect the hard drive you're transferring the data from to
the data transfer cable.

If you are asked at all to configure the hard drive do not proceed any further, third party cables will wipe all the data and make the drives useless as xbox hard drives.

Hi!

1. The Data Transfer Kit will transfer content from Original Xbox 360 to Original Xbox 360, or from Original Xbox 360 to Xbox 360 S.

2. The data is moved, not copied, so the content will not remain on the source drive.

3. All data will be transferred.
