Transferring data from original 60GB XBOX 360 hard drive to new 320GB XBOX 360e hard drive

I bought the 4GB XBOX 360e and a 320GB hard drive for extra storage and when I went to transfer the data all I can seem to do is transfer from the internal 4GB drive to the 320GB drive but not from the external 60GB drive. I get the transfer content message
and select "Yes, transfer to console". The Transfer Content page that comes up says Source: Transfer Cable but none of the sections have anything in them anymore (I manually moved the contents of the 4GB to the 320GB drive). What's really strange is I can
do the same for the 60GB drive but I'd prefer to not have to go through that extremely long and tedious process to move all those games and game data. I'd like to to this in one single transfer. There doesn't seem to be anyway to change the Source either.
Any suggestions?

Hard Drive compatibility / upgrades

I have an older xbox 360 with 60GB HDD installed on top and I need more storage space. I received a 320GB Media Hard drive for the xbox 360S for Christmas. Can I use the 320GB hard drive with a hard drive transfer cable with the original xbox 360 ? If
I transfer data from the 60GB to 320GB, then disconnect the 60GB and use the 320GB as an external hard drive, will this work and if it does, are there any disadvantages such as longer load or save times ? thanks.

 

Hard Drive Transfer?

I am getting a new 60gb External Hard Drive for my 360; can I transfer my data from my 20gb external Hard Drive to the new 60gb?

 

Never mind, I think I figured it out. You can force a transfer from Storage under Settings. If I have any more trouble I'll update this thread.

 

oye make shure if you are using a transfer cord make sure it's a genuine microsoft xbox product, or you will lose your stuff
