    hey folks, I am having my xbox one replaced, and was just wondering if there was a way to transfer all of my content to the new xbox one console without having to re-download all of it?

    Your brother will need to download his profile onto the new console and perform a license transfer onto the new console. When he purchased the content, it was licensed to his account and to the console that he made the purchases from. Transferring the licenses
    to the new console will allow any user on that console access to the content.

    Hi Cutter Dee, the only way is to pop in a USB hard drive, and transfer all your games over to that.

    Then all you have to do is plug it back into your new console.

    It's really worth getting one, because if you ever have to reset your console or get it repaired again, you never have to do masses of huge downloads again.

    I'm sure you know only too well how huge some of the Xbox One games can be.

    Recovering account and Data transfer.

    I would suggest when it is time to do the transfer just move your current profile onto a USB.

    Transfer all content from old Xbox to new Xbox. When that's finished delete the profile from new hard drive and transfer most current recovered one from the USB back onto new Xbox.

    Nothing should go wrong as the license transfer itself allows you to play all your old content on your new Xbox, its fairly easy and straightforward to do.

    Some content you may have to re-download on your new Xbox in order to play offline.
