Transferring content from one 'Xbox One' to another 'Xbox One'

Hi, as an impatient gamer from Norway I decided to import an Xbox One, but chose to keep my Day one edition order after the delay in several markets was anounced.. as I had a cousin who wantet to take the import off my hands when I got my pre-orderd one..

With the Import Console I bought Forza Motorsport5 Limited edition.. How do I go about transferring the game from my old console to the New one without loosing the "Limited edition" content? game progress I assume I can sync/downlod from the Xbox live servers...

I''ve bought a 2Tb USB 3.0 HDD can I simply transfer the game to that and Connect it to the New console? (I will be using the same gamertag/Xbox Live ID on the New console)

As For the included games Forza5 and Fifa15 I assume that those are digital download, and that I can give the codes away to my cousin as I've allready have Forza5 and not a fan of football games.. last footbalgame I could manage to play was on a C64

License Transfering?

You wont be able to share any content form the Xbox 360 with the Xbox One anyways. I'm sure in time the Xbox One will have its own licence transfer tool for transferring content to another Xbox One, but not an Xbox 360.

Unfortunately what you are describing is transferring licenses from one Xbox account to another (assuming he has his own account). You can find some

Hi Tronder 007, the good news is that all your game saves, progress and profile are synced between your console and the Xbox Live. So, when you'll receive your new Xbox One, your content will be synced with your new console. However, it may take some time
to redownload your profile and games.

As far as I know, if your transfered your digital games on an external HDD, you can indeed plug it directly to your new console and it should work like a charm.

Generally, games included with the console are digital downloads. So, you can effectively give them to someone else.

My as My copy of Forza5 is the disc Version so I'll just intall it from the disc.. and then let my new Xbox sync gamesaves and stuff from Xbox live as you say...

As for the included games, they are digital downloads as you said.. that will make my cousin wery happy

I see I wasn't to far off the mark With what I had found out on my own, but it's Nice to have it confirmed... Thanks again

Sorry, this is not possible to do. The use of the license transfer system in this way is not prohibited. A license transfer cannot be used to transfer one piece of content from one console to another. It transfers all licenses from one Xbox 360 to another Xbox
360, not from one Xbox LIVE account to another Xbox LIVE account.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in transferring content and purchases from one Microsoft account to another. Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer content or saved data from one account to another.
The best way to share content from one account to another is to utilize the home console sharing feature
on the Xbox One. We hope this helps!

Actually you can genious pay attention to the last line:

No. Content licenses are stored in the Xbox 360 console rather than in the Xbox LIVE account.

To enable someone else's Xbox LIVE account to use your content licenses, you must download your Xbox LIVE profile and then transfer your content licenses to that person's Xbox 360 console.

•To download your Xbox LIVE profile to a different Xbox 360 console, see Download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile.

•To transfer a content license from one Xbox 360 console to another, see Can I transfer a content license from one Xbox 360 console to another?

After you've downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile and transferred your content licenses to another Xbox 360 console, the content can be used by all the profiles on that console.

oh, and there is no way to transfer dlc, microsoft points, or content licenses from one account to another. in rare cases xbox support may transfer a subscription to another account.
