Transferring content from old gamertag to new account with different gamertag

It sounds like you might have received what is called a Gamerscore Correction. From the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement team's website

To answer your question, any Achievements on the Xbox 360 that you had obtained on the profile, will not be able to be re-obtained under that profile. You should be able to use another profile to obtain the Achievements, however they don't transfer across
profiles. So you won't be able to transfer content or Achievements from your profile to a different one.

Here is what the bottom line comes to. Nothing can be transfered from one gamertag to the next. DRM is transfering content, from the same gamertag, to a different console so it does not reassign it to a different console. Content from one gamertag can
be used on another account except for some arcade games and avatar items but they cannot be fully transfered from one gamertag to the next.

On my new xbox I've redeemed my old account but I've changed the gamertag, I'm wanting to transfer games ext from my old xbox to the new one but the data is owned by my old gamertag can I still transfer from the old gamertag to my new one ??

Hello, so you mean you create a new account and want to transfer the contenue from the old account to the new one?

Unfortunately is not possible. Any sort of data and content that is downloaded/saved on one gamertag is not transferable to another account.

Licenses only apply to downloaded content, not to games on disk. The "DRM" license for downloaded content is attached to 1) the purchasing gamertag, and 2) the console I.D. of the console that downloaded it. So if you haven't changed consoles since you
purchased content with the old gamertag, it shouldn't be an issue. If you did change consoles, simply perform a "license transfer"...it's in the xbox menus now in account management. So, therefore, you should have access to content you downloaded with the
old gamertag, with a new gamertag. But remember if you ever need to redownload that content you would have to be able to sign in with your old gamertag. You cannot transfer the download history from one gamertag to another as Juan Van was eluding to.
