Transferring content from flash drive

I am trying to transfer some previous downloaded movies that I have on my computer to my xbox 360 game console. I will be able to use a 16gb flash drive. But Im not sure of the procedure to go about getting this task complete. All in all there is about
70 movies to be put over to the xbox.

Can someone help me please

You can't copy media files (or anything else) from a flash drive to the Xbox 360 console.

Instead, you simply insert the flash drive, and play the content directly from the USB drive.

The only thing you can transfer is content you downloaded through the Xbox 360 to the USB drive into it's container file and vice versa.

Stuff that is stored on the "normal" file system of an USB drive (like movies, pictures and MP3 files) can't be copied to the console.

This page gives you details about the size of the external drive you can use on a 360. You can transfer up to 2TB of data, so your 16gb drive will be fine.

You can transfer the content with either an Official /MS Transfer Cable or a USB Flash Drive. And no, nothing can be merged or transferred from one account to another.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly, you mentioned transferring it from your console to your transfer cable. Your transfer cable is used to move content from one hard drive to another, not store content for use on a different console. You might want to
consider getting a USB flash drive for that kind of portability.

You should be able to do a Transfer to any storage device. Insert the USB flash drive, create a USB Memory Unit on it, then highlight the HDD in System Settings, Memory, and hit Y. You should get a Transfer option.

Keep in mind Transfer MOVES content. It's unwise to use Transfer on a brand new flash drive when you don't know if it'll work reliably on another device or not. There have been many threads about people transferring content to USB flash drives, only to find
out the flash drive doesn't work in another 360 or comes up as unformatted.

It's better to take the time and manually Copy as much content as possible, resorting to Move only when necessary.
