    Transferring content form Xbox one S to Xbox one X


    Hi,

    I have an Xbox one S with an external HDD attached to it with tons of games (like 2TB of games). I'm considering an upgrade to Xbox one X and I'd like to know if there's a way to simply connect the HDD to the new console and play the games. I mean, like
    transferring the licences or something like that. I remember there was something like this on the 360 but I never got to use it.

    License Transfering?

    You wont be able to share any content form the Xbox 360 with the Xbox One anyways. I'm sure in time the Xbox One will have its own licence transfer tool for transferring content to another Xbox One, but not an Xbox 360.

    4K content in Xbox one

    That's right!

    And remember: S and X consoles doesn't need firmware updates to play 4K content.

    Hi,

    Simply attach your external hard drive to your new Xbox One X and sign in with the same account you used on your previous console. To insure your games will work on other accounts on the same console and if either Live is unavailable or you have no Internet
    access, make sure you have set your new Xbox as your
    Home console     - that is all that is required with regards to licenses.

    All of your games on the external hard drive will work as as they did before, and you'll be able to play straight away, once the new Xbox has completed its update and you've signed in with your account.

    If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

    Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

    Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

    If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them
