Transferring Call of Duty Cold War to my Son

I got the kids xboxes for Christmas. My son jumped the gun and was logged in under my account when he got call of Duty Cold War. Is there any way to transfer to his account. Hes concerned about his progress. Thanks. I dont play it at all.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. If you have the console set as your Home console, you can share the game with him. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

What version of the game do you own and how are you trying to upgrade it?

My understanding is that you need to purchase the upgrade directly via the store on the Series X.
