Transferring an Xbox profile without closing the original email account

Hello TomB74, unfortunately it is not possible, your Xbox profile and your email (Microsfot account) are one thing only.

If you use this email to play either on the console or on the PC, the Gamertag, games, DLC's etc are forever tied to that email account.

The simplest thing in this situation, you would be with this email account for you, as your main game account, you can even add a new alias later and create a new email account for your parents to use.

Basically, you can't. The Xbox account and email (Microsoft account) are the same thing. There's no way to delete an Xbox account without closing the Microsoft account. There's no way to merge accounts and nothing can be transferred between accounts.

Hi Alosun, It depends on what you're really trying to do.

You can change the email address (which is your account ID) by creating a secondary email(account) alias, and then making that email your primary email. I've provided a couple links below. All subscriptions, services, gamer-tags, etc. will transfer with it.

If you're trying to just transfer the XBOX gamer-tag (profile as Francia points out) by changing the account, that's not possible without everything from the original account moving to the new account as I mentioned above.

To remove two emails in the same Microsoft account by separating them, the steps are generally:

Okay... still fustrating. On one email there are TWO profiles right.. so one profile is his and one is mine. But i now have my own xbox live account on my own email with microsoft. I am trying to get that gamertag profile off of his and transferred onto
my account. How do i do that without moving ALL his information on my own account????
