Transferring accounts from Xbox One to Xbox One X

Hello,

I am about to purchase the Xbox One X and have a question about transferring the accounts from my regular Xbox One.

I know you can make a system backup to an external hdd and that my account and settings will be restored on the Xbox One X.

But how about my sons accounts that are added to the Family option on my Xbox One.

Are those accounts transfered as well or do I have to make seperate system backups for their accounts?

My sons would hate to lose their progress when we switch to Xbox One X.

Transferring from Xbox one to xbox one x

Make sure you sign into the same log in information as your account on the new console. Anything that won't copy over would be available to reinstall from your Games and Apps.

I recently bought a Xbox one x I was told to put a hard drive on to my xbox one to copy onto then put into xbox one x and for two days all it seems to be doing is copying a few add ons. I am most bothered about a couple of games I downloaded digitally but
there not copinying across. Also it seems to randomly jump to different data will not install one thing at z time. One last thing is the xbox one has z different user name to log in..is it possible to get any of these games back. Thanks darrem

You would just sign into his account on the new console. As long as he's been signed into Live while playing, game saves are automatically saved on the cloud so they would just resync when he starts a game.

What games are you transferring? Which consoles are involved? If it's transferring from, say, a Series X/S to an Xbox One, then it may be because the games are S/X versions.

As to the expansion pack, I believe that is only available to the account that bought it and the console that account is on...it can't be transferred to another account on another console

Yes, you can change your Xbox One account to a new Xbox Series X with a different email address. Here are the steps to do so:

Sorry, this is not possible to do. The use of the license transfer system in this way is not prohibited. A license transfer cannot be used to transfer one piece of content from one console to another. It transfers all licenses from one Xbox 360 to another Xbox
360, not from one Xbox LIVE account to another Xbox LIVE account.

At least from what I was finding on the network, if you can transfer games from the hard drive from an xbox one to an xbox one x
