Transferring account from Mojang to Microsoft

I've been away at college for few months (last time I played Minecraft Java Edition was in early January of 2022) and I just moved back for the summer to find that I now HAVE to migrate my Mojang account to a Microsoft account. I went to the website to migrate it, however every time that I try to click the "Get Code" button, it comes up with an error screen that says "OHHH NO.... Something went wrong... Please try again or contact support if the problem persists". I thought this might be because the email that I am using already has an existing Microsoft account associated with it (because we've had an Xbox for a few years now and set it up with the same email coincidentally) but I still can't find any help pages that can show what I should do in this situation. All of the help pages that I find seem outdated and useless to my situation.

I've also tried reaching out to "Microsoft Support" through the Mojang/Minecraft website and I got an auto response back that literally only said "try a different browser", "try your on your phone", "try changing your email", etc. (I did in fact try all of those things and nothing worked...)

Anyways just looking for someone real that can hopefully help me! I'm not willing to lose all of my server and realm progress and pay another 30 dollars to buy the game again on a new account...

Well, what about the migration of mojangs to Microsoft, where the account is transferred to Microsoft?

if i bought an alt account and logging in with mojang then transferred to microsoft could i transfer it to my main

The problem is not logging in with my Microsoft account, I'm easily able to login, it's that my Mojang account did not migrate. No detail of my Mojang account was transferred and I'm essentially playing on a new account, none of my worlds transferred, my server progress, not even my username. My display username here is my old Mojang accounts username.

As I have migrated to Microsoft I have been told it is now a Microsoft problem as I cannot be unmitigated back to mojang I have already been working with mojang and tried everything they could suggest before opening this forum I have been told my Microsoft Account must be updated to verify I have java edition on it as that edition was transferred from my mojang account to Microsoft
