Transferring a purchased game to a different account?

So when I first purchased my XBox One I couldn't remember my XBox Live account name and so I just created a new one. I then redeemed the game code for the free game that came with the console on this new account. Now I remember and am using my original XBox
account. Is there any way to transfer the license for this game to my current account or will it always be with that other account?

will license transferred 360 games carry over to the xbox one's backward compatibility

License Transferring does what the name says, it transfers the licenses of games to a different console. Transferring 360 games will not work with Xbox One's BC, it will only work with the account that they was purchased with.

There is no such thing as Xbox generator. If you want to keep your account your own, I suggest you do not sign up for any so called 'generators' either.

Purchases and game data are linked to your Microsoft account and can't be transferred to a different account.

Game Pass Ultimate does not share on the PC. Only the account that purchased GPU can use it on a PC. There is no way to transfer a subscription between different accounts.

Please go to https://commerce.microsoft.com and check if the game purchase appears on your son's account or his brother's account.

The only thing that can be passed is a license transfer to a different console (while the "real" ownership of the game remains with the purchasing account).

If a game is purchased digitally for the Xbox 360, the account that purchased the game "owns" it, and the first console that downloaded the game after purchase, gets a "sharing" license, so everyone playing on that console can play the game.

Some kids try to "share" games, by visiting a friend's console, and doing a license transfer, so the friend's console can share the game to anyone playing on that console.

However, the original buyer of the game can always play the purchased game, as long as they are connected online.
