Transferring a purchase to a family member

I purchased the game Steep using my account but meant to purchase it for my son to use on his account so that he could play along with his friends. Is there anyway to transfer this purchase to his account? Thank you!

No.

The only time you can transfer points is if you're the primary member of a family plan and you're transferring them to another member on the plan.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. You would have to see about getting a refund and then purchase the game on the correct account. Go to
Sign in to your Microsoft account to see if you can start a refund there. If not, you'll need to contact support and speak to billing. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

The primary member of a family plan can transfer points to other members of a family plan, but that's it. Gamerscore and everything else cannot be transferred.

Hi there Ghostly, only the primary member on the family pack can purchase points, then those points can be transfered to the secondary accounts by granting an allowance. This can be done by adding the points, going to your family center, selecting the appropriate
gamertag to transfer to and choosing "Grant Allowance."

KILLERHEDAKE

Transfer all the accounts to YOUR console, purchase the family gold package, and follow the on screen steps to add each account on THAT console under Gold. After you have all members of your family in the "Family" for Gold membership, you can transfer/recover
the accounts onto their perspective consoles. But they need to all be on one console when you create your Gold Family.
