Transferring a digital game to a separate account other than the one the game was purchased on.

I recently bought a digital copy of No Mans Sky on my Xbox that I have multiple accounts on. I have a controller for each account, as they are used by separate people, so I have a specific controller log in one of the 3 accounts on the Xbox. When I bought
the copy of the game I had grabbed a different controller then usual while turning on Thebes Xbox, this prompting me to purchase the game on Ann account I didn’t intend to. Because of this I was wondering ignore there was a way to transfer digital purchases
between accounts.

Apologies if this is a stupid question, however, what do you mean by home console?

I think the way we are going to work it is that we will have a separate live account for each console, im pretty sure that digital copies won't work on another account other than the one that purchased it, am I right?

I can't play my brother's downloaded games

A license transfer works for one digital game at a time, not the whole set to prevent piracy. I know it sucks, but the DRM helps Microsoft and other hardworking developers earn the money they deserve to put into other games. BUT, if if your brother downloaded
his account to your console, and digitally purchased the game there, it'd be like license transferring, but without the 4 month wait inbetween. Hope this helps, hit me up for any other questions.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. You can try getting a refund and then repurchase the game on the correct account. You would need to go to
Sign in to your Microsoft account to see if you can start a refund there. If not, you would need to contact support and speak to billing. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

Hi, as digital content is tied to the account that purchased it the Xbox would need to be the Home Xbox of that account. Other than that there is no way to transfer digital items from one account to another right now.

No games, digital or physical, designed for Xbox 360 are playable on the Xbox One. A separate Xbox One edition of the game would be required, and it would need to be purchased separately. The games left on the Xbox would be playable, for now. Sooner or
later, as the purchaser of the games, you might transfer those licenses to your own Xbox 360 remotely (unless 360 games become playable on Xbox One in the future, in which case a license transfer to that will behave the same way), disabling the game licenses
on the previous console the next time it connects to Live and is informed of the change by the servers.

I would not increase the asking price, or base it in any way on the digital games that are licensed to your account. Those licenses cannot be granted to other people, and you may not resell them as that would require selling the account, which is in violation
of the Terms of Use. If the buyer wishes to consider this temporary ability to play the games as an added bonus, that's fine. But I would not pay money to borrow digital games from someone else, even with their solemn promise not to revoke the licenses from
me anytime soon.

Hi hi,

Game add-ons/content packs are a bit different than an DLC/Expansion Pack for a game. Rather than being “attached” to the game, they are “attached” to the account they are purchased under. Family sharing will not transfer these in-game funds and content
across multiple accounts, so if two people using two different accounts wanted the same add-ons, they would have to buy them on both accounts (as they are separate people). You could always request a refund for the account that won’t be using them and explain
the situation to Microsoft here at this link

If you do get refunded or compensated, make sure from now on to purchase content packs and such on your child’s account.
