Transferring 360 Game Play Data From A Flash Drive To The Cloud For Xbox One

I read about RDR being available to play in the Xbox One on the 8th July. I have my Xbox 360 game save backed-up on a flash drive. If I plug my flash drive into my Xbox One, is it possible to transfer my game save file to my Xbox Cloud using my Xbox One
so I can resume my game on my Xbox One? If this can be done, how do I do it? Thanks.

Question About buying a Xbox

The transfer cable is only needed for transferring data from one hard drive to another. So if you were transferring your game saves from your old xbox hard drive, then you would need a transfer cable or flash drive. Otherwise, you can just follow GreyPilgrim's
advice and you'll be all set.

Xbox will not load/ play games

Hi,

I was having the same problem as you. I fixed it yesterday.

The hard drive is corrupted. I was able to come to this conclusion by trying my dad's hard drive in my own Xbox 360. Everything loaded up perfectly. What I did was buy a 32g flash drive, configured it for use on the xbox, and transferred content from the
hard drive to the flash drive. (I also used two 8g and one 4g flash drive as well--- I had a lot of data.) After the transferring was complete, I reformatted the xbox hard drive. Turn off the xbox 360 after it finishes successfully, turn it back on, and then
download your profile to the hard drive.

Then began the process of transferring the data back to the hard drive from the flash drives.

You can try the other methods too, but if you want to save time, this is definitely what is wrong.

Unfortunafely, this can't be done. You would have to move the save from your Xbox 360 to the Cloud from a 360 console. Other than that, there is no way to have your save appear on the Xbox One.

Well, you can't transfer from gamertag to gamertag, if thats what you want to do.

A easy way to transfer files for any game is to transfer the data from the hard drive on Xbox 360 A to the cloud, as your cloud saves are just stored on the internet. Then, on Xbox 360 B you simply retrieve your gamertag and then transfer the data from you
cloud to Xbox 360 B's hard drive. Then play!

The 360 hard drive transfer cable is just that, it transfers data from one 360 hard drive to another. At this time the only way to transfer 360 data to an Xbox One is through the cloud so you will need to find a friend that has a 360 that you can borrow
to upload your game saves to the cloud.

Once you have a 360 connected to Live, you can follow the steps noted by JhonSnow777 to get the files onto the cloud for you to access on an Xbox One.

Currently the cloud is the only way to transfer saves from the 360 to the One. The data transfer cable is only meant to transfer data between 360 hard drives.

If you are planning on using another Xbox 360, you could potentially
transfer your hard drive over to another console.

Additionally, you could also
copy or transfer your save data to an USB flash drive.

If you are planning on upgrading to an Xbox One, you can move your save data to the

Cloud storage so that you can use it on your
backwards compatible games.

There are a couple of things you should know,

Firstly, please ensure that if you get a data transfer cable it is the Microsoft certified cable and not some cheap third party offering otherwise not only can you lose all your data but also you have a very good chance of ending up with a useless hard
drive.

Secondly, connect the cable to the console first, power on the console and then attach the hard drive to the cable, otherwise the data transfer window may not open as expected.

Another option for your saved games would to be to use the cloud feature to store your game saves. They would then be available on your new console.
