Transfering Xbox Live data

Like mentioned the transfer tool is a online functionality, and does not require the use of a disc drive.

The transfer cable is not necessary for the license transfer, but it's a tool to transfer data from one consoles hard drive to another:

To clarify further, the
Network Game Transfer would only transfer the games and apps from the old console to the new console; other data like profile data and save data is attached to an account's profile and backed up to Xbox Live. To redownload the save/profile data for an account
in a particular game, just launch that game from the console while the account is signed in and connected to Xbox Live .

I have an xbox and i made a xbox live account on my computer and downloaded it. But one of my profiles has all the data but it does not have xbox live is there a way for it to transfer its data to the new xbox live profile or make the profile that does not
have xbox live get xbox live

You can use a Xbox Transfer Cable, probably find it at Gamestop for a few bucks, this will transfer the data from your old hard drive to the new one. Or, you could simply use a Flash drive/thumb drive to transfer over all of the data. The Transfer cable
is my preferred option, but it's up to you.

Also, once all of your data has been transferred, you'll need to do a license transfer over to your new console. Linky for that.

Once changed you can then use the data transfer cable by MS to transfer all data between HDD's, read more about it here
