Transfering Xbox 360 games to my new console USA TO AUS

Does anyone know if forza horizon 2 would work if it got transfered from my old account / console USA and downloaded on my new one AUS would it work? if not would I only have to chance the AUS console to USA region? Thanks

Transferring isn't an issue as the transfer cable will transfer everything over with the exception of game installs.

However you will want to use the license transfer tool on the Microsoft site otherwise you would have to be online all the time to use the purchased content.

Edit: If you are selling the original hard drive with the console and are then unable to do the transfer then you will have to stick your gamertag, save games and the RB1 export files on a memory device before selling and then do the licence transfer on new console and download everything else..

Minecraft Xbox One

hi

my son has been playing minecraft, saint row, far cry 4 etc in Xbox 360. is it possible to transfer the games to xbox one? minecraft is an online purchase. rest all the discs we bought from Game.

he doesnt want to upgrade to xbox one but ofcourse we are missing out the new features of xbox one and xbox 360 is getting out dated fast and would value for nothing soon.. ihave few consoles left like that and lying in the garage.. (ps2, xbox, psp etc)..

any advice on transferring the games would be helpful for me to decide on xbox one..

Sounds like you moved to a different country. There are a couple of things that might prove a problem for you.

1. The game may not play on the new console due to region settings. (PAL, NTSC, etc).

2. If the game does not play and you attempt to download it from the US region you may encounter issues with downloading it due, again, to region settings (different IP addresses).

What I would recommend is to just move the hard drive from one console to the other so long as they are both the same types of consoles. If they are not then contact phone support for your region to arrange getting a transfer cable.

Im in Sydney and just got given a USA console. getting black ops(AU) tomorrow. I shouldnt have an issue with DLC should I? account is AU, game is AU, and im in AU. only diff is the console

That won't affect the saved data in any way, but you may need to transfer the content license to the new console http://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-live/marketplace-and-purchasing/download-content

With the xbox 360 the game licenses went with the consoles themselves not with the accounts like on the one systems and games.

The thing is this with the 360s if you got a new 360 and license transferred your games to that one then the license on the 360 that you sold would no longer be valid because you at that point would have transferred the license for the games to the new console
