Transfering digital licences from one account to other

Hy!

When I bought Xbox One I also got an LiveID with games on it. Love it but I also have my own account with my own games that I have bought. I now want to get rid of that extra user tho, so I can have all my games on ONE live ID. There seems to be ho-ever no
way to do this.

So how can I resolve this issue, and have the licenses transfered from one live id account to another?

Again, all of those things are digital.

Transfer data question.

Hi, to transfer content licences associated with your console you must sign in to the console with the profile used to purchase the content. Once signed in go to Settings > account > billing options and select licence transfer following the on screen instructions to transfer the licences to the new console so other profiles can use the content. Content can not be transfered across profiles only across consoles - hope this helps

If you read that actual ruling it does not applly to consoles

The requirement is you have to prove you deleted it.

As they csannot verify you deleted it (this was going to change in 2013 but it was repealed due to the mass protest )

It actually only applied to computer programs and only for excess licenses not individual games not consoles due to the ruling

Basically a third party can resell your digital copies however as you cannot legally access the network with a third party software you cannot resell your games nor are the copyright holders obiligated to faciliate it

The case you are quoting involved Oracle and their website and a third party provider selling keys but illegal access to a network

Also you may consider reading the terms of use

ngocphi - thanks for explaining. This was not a legal threat (if it was, Microsoft would be reading some long letter from lawyer, not from this forum) rather a discussion of rather BIG problem. As far as I understand from the ruling, games or software does
not matter, unless it's timeframe in witch you can use the software (say, Xbox Gold, that is 1 year licence) then you can sell / exchange it (say digitally bought products). Regarding TOS then I'm not even trying to sell games, rather just move games from
one of MY account to another of MY account to resolve gamesharing issues with accounts on my console.

Imagine this life - you have one account that has been set as home xbox and all the fellows can play those games on Xbox. And then you have other account where you have other games. And your SO goes and starts playing on console, and bam, suddenly, she cannot
access your games, because you are not signed in and can only access games that are home shared.

A acceptable workaround for me would be to have more than one home Xbox account, but this is currently not possible either.

It Haas nothing to do with as game service and the judges were clear on the conditions

A service cannot block a third party from selling used content "if" they provide a way to transfer and proof the software was deleted

However a third party cannot provide access to Dlc as it is only access by a console and the account

No third party can legally sell your account as that is fraud no judge will allow that

The service does not have to allow or provide a transfer

Fyi eu would have to violate the copyright treaties and their own copyright directive to force any game provider to facilitate copyright infringement

The case you quoted is unused license keys not used content

This means you download the software and enter the license key and use it

Because it was a multipack that was the dispute

The judge clearly stated the 3rd party can sell licenses not accounts and would have to provide the transfer

Good luck finding someone to get access to your license keys without your account

Since no one else can access your download hisstpry then no as third party software to Xbox live is iillegal you can take it to the world court sand they Wil say the same thing

Hence why game servers operate in eu still with clear violations on what can be exchanged or traded rather then everything

Two major companies

Ea and even Ubisoft germany

Both don't allow full transsfers and guess what not in violation of this ruling or coppyright Laws

Fyi copyright directives trump court rulings especially eu ones

Copyright directives decide how and if and when you can access services

If the service does not allow third parties they have the full might of copyright and international Laws
