Transfering credit by one means or another from one family member to another

Hi

PROBLEM!

I have put credit onto my account rather than my son's in error ((his birthday gifts - he is not thrilled!!)

I need to get the £40 credit from my account (parent) to my son (family member) who desperatly wants to buy some V Bucks.

now the option to use my balance to add funds to his account is greyed out so thats a no go.

I've heard i can buy a gift card with my balance and then give it to my son but the option to use my balance as payment is also greyed out when doing this and leaving me with using paypal and credit cards.

How on earth can I get this money to him?

if it makes any difference £30 of it was put in using a debit card and £10 was an xbox gift card

I dont play or use my account at all other than to keep an eye on my 10 year old!

Change parent?

I have a family account. How do I change the parent from one member to another member of the same family?

 

Migrating Account, are there ANY options from AU - CAN ?

I'm almost certain that just like transfering your licenses from one Xbox over to another, that you're able to migrate your account from one Country to another just once per year. I mean, it makes sense but don't quote me on anything. I don't leave Canada
much.

 

Funds stored in an account can not be moved between accounts in any way, unfortunately.

You will have to either buy him a gift card and have him redeem it on his account for money or purchase the item on his account with your card.

I would suggest a prepaid card for money but you could add your card to his account and use a passkey to prevent unauthorized purchases:

Or purchase and then remove the payment method right after buying something.

You CAN use that money to buy a game and use the
My home xbox sharing system to share that game to all other accounts on that console but certain items, including VBucks can not be shared like this.

In your situation, yes you must spend more for VBucks for his account. Sorry.

 

You should also be able to use the credit on your account to purchase a game as a gift and gift it to him. He would get an email or message to his account with a code for the game you purchase for him
