Transfer

Is it possible for licenses from a 360 to be transferred to an Xbox One? I'm only asking because I have quite a bit of content from BF4 on my 360 and I hope I don't have to purchase them all over again. Any response would be helpful, thanks.

Transferring DLC

Wont work im afraid unless he uses your gamertag everytime he wants to play them, they are linked to your acount and can only be played while your signed in, more annoyingly when hes signed in they will show up in the set list but they wont play.

 

How to move multiple items at once

You can easily move multiple items between storage devices using the Transfer Content option. So, if you purchase a new console, you can move the contents of your old Xbox 360 console to the new one using the Transfer Content option and the Hard Drive Transfer Cable.

Notes:

During the content transfer, the Xbox Dashboard will be unavailable.

If any problem occurs during the transfer and the transfer is interrupted, the content will remain on the source storage device. You can start the transfer process again.

How to transfer multiple items

To transfer multiple from one storage device to another, follow the steps bellow:

• From Xbox Home, you need to go to Settings to select System.
• Press Storage.
• You need to highlight the storage device containing the content that you want to transfer. Now press Y for Device Options.
• Press Transfer Content.
• You’ll have to select the destination storage device
• You’ll also have to select the content type that you want to transfer.
• Finally press Start to begin the transfer.

If the destination storage device doesn’t have sufficient space, the Space Available bar will appear red. Then you’ll have to reduce the amount of content you are transferring.

Here is how:

• First you need to select content type
• If you want to remove all items from the content type, press X
• If you want to remove individual items, press A to view the items. Then select the item or items and press A again. You need to press B to return to the previous screen. Finally select Start to begin the transfer again.

 

You can't directly transfer content, but in some instances the publishers have created upgrade deals. For instance, Activision allow a free upgrade from Xbox 360 to Xbox One for both Call of Duty: Ghosts and Destiny, both the game and season pass. EA did
something similar last year with Battlefield Premium for Battlefield 4, but you would need to check with them if there was an expiry date on that offer or if it is still valid.

 

This is on a per publisher basis. When Xbox One launched they did offer upgrades from the 360 version to the Xbox One version but it was limited time.

If you have Battlefield 4 Premium then yes it will go with you to Xbox One as per the description of the 360 Premium addon "Owners of Battlefield 4™ Premium for Xbox 360 will also get Premium access on Xbox One."

However, if you bought the DLC's separately it is possible they won't migrate with you as they don't mention the same offer.
