Transfer Xbox Profile to Child

This has been posted a few times, but I would like some advice on how to approach my specific situation:

I have 2 xbox's at home (XB1, and XBSX), and I have a son who has been playing on my profile for the last few years.

I would like to start gaming with him, and happy to start a new profile, and would like to transfer my current profile over to him (all purchases, progress, etc.)

I'm happy to lose my current profile, giving it to him, and creating a brand new one for myself, however I (obviously) cannot lose my email account that I have been using for various Personal and Microsoft related interactions.

I believe that the first/best solution would be to link my profile to my son's email address, make his email address primary, and then remove mine. However, will that mean that I will lose all other Microsoft related progress (e.g. Microsoft certifications, forum posts like this one, etc.) ? Or is there a way to unlink/transfer JUST the xbox related information?

Any help/advice is appreciated

If you delete your email address as alias you're going to lose basically all the information related to that outlook.com address

The licenses and everything are attached to the whole Microsoft account. Not the email address

Sadly any content transfer between Microsoft accounts can't be made

unfortunately, no, the Microsoft account covers all services from Microsoft.

I take it I can not transfer the Xbox profile to another Microsoft account? As a parent that set up the game when my kids were young, it should be transferable once the child comes of age.

So is it possible then to delete gamer tags /Minecraft profiles and restart completely so that they can use their current emails? Or will that screw up my Xbox account?
