Transfer xbox profile to another microsoft account?

I'm afraid not. It's not possible to transfer an Xbox profile from one Microsoft account to another.

Sadly, it is impossible to transfer your Xbox One profile and games from one Microsoft account to another.

Could you, please, elaborate a bit more on what you mean by transferring Xbox profiles to another Microsoft account?

A Microsoft account is an amalgamation of different services [Xbox, Windows, Bing, Outlook, etc.] and thus these services cannot be merged or transferred to another Microsoft account.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. He would need to continue using yours if he wants to keep his information or start over on the new account.

I am having the same problem, I feel that this should be an option because every time my son changes something on his xbox account it affects my account. Is there a way to do this by having a family membership option and just having the xbox linked to his email? He is now 17 years old and starting University... I dont want him to loose all of his stuff because he has been using this account since he was 10, and I dont feel that he should have to buy it all over again. There must be some way?

Unfortunately not no. The problem is that the xbox account IS the Microsoft account and vice versa. They are essentially intertwined.

Because of this, if you were to remove your Microsoft email from the account and swap it with his, doing so would cause your Microsoft email to be permanently deleted forever which you obviously don't want. You would've even be able to create a new Microsoft account using that email since Microsoft doesn't recycle deleted emails.
