Transfer xbox games that have not been downloaded from Microsoft

i purchased some xbox games for my grandson's birthday but did not purchased them as a gift. How do i transfer them to his xbox account? the games have not been downloaded.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you intended to purchase some Xbox games as a gift for your grandson, but you instead purchased them to own on your account. There is no way to transfer game licenses between two different
Microsoft accounts. The best way to resolve this issue is to request a refund
for those items, and
complete the transactions as gifts. If you are unable to receive a refund, there is a way to share those games to your grandson's account by utilizing the

home Xbox feature. Be sure to let us know the results!

request a refund and then repurchase them as gifts or you could sign into his console, download the games and set his console as your

Home so he can access the games from his account.

You can't transfer anything from one account to another. You must purchase them on that account.
