transfer Xbox from USA to Europe

Yep, should work fine. You only need the correct power supply (depends on the region you are moving) and you have to change the console region to access the local Xbox store.

Hint: If you are moving to Austria (or Germany or Switzerland) -> the UI language can't be changed to english. In such a case you have to change the console region to an english speaking country (like UK or US).

Do not use a power adapter as that can cause no end of problems.You will need a new power brick for the country you are going to.You can get them from support in that country.

1. Your game are NTSC and your xbox is NTSC -> old games will work

2. If you buy PAL game in slowakia -> this game will not work on your NTSC xbox

3. But you can buy new games in USA amazon store and import them

4. You will need an adapter for your power cord -> It cost about 10 bucks

5. If you dont plan to take your TV with you - then you must get new TV that supports

PAL and NTSC signals (most new flat TV are compatible)

You will have mainly two issues.

1. yes the PAL thing. you would need to import your games from the us. Buying a game in Europe will not work on that console. You might also have issues with the content on the console (DLC ect.)\

2. Power supply. The wattage in the us is different than in Europe. If you were to plug a us console and power supply in in Europe, the console would fry. You would need to get a Xbox power supply made for use in Europe. The console end of the the power
supply would be the same but the wall plug would be different

In adicional the fuction of games is a little confuse...

Because MS give to the publishers the option to use region block

How that works (i will explain again...some time i will submit a faq for that is the 4 time i do that in this month...)

Have four region in the world

1 is NTSC cover americas (north,central and south), games and consoles have region NTSC works in NTSC and region free only

2. Is Europe uses the PAL covers europe (and part of asia), he only acepts Pal games in Pal consoles and region free

3. NTSC-J covers Japan and most part of Asia, and only NTSC-J consoles acepts NTSC-J games and region free

4 Is region free works in every part of world in every console...

How you know that!?

Most internet games sales sites have in the part of tecnical information the region format of the game they sale

In your case you have to acept to buy only the games having the formats NTSC and Region Free, regions diferents WILL NOT WORK IN YOUR 360!!!

And try to look a new font for your 360 because the voltage changes from country to country in europe, the ideal is buy a new one when you arrive in your "new" country

For a sample two games i know:

Final Fantasy 13 is Pal game and works in every 360 because is region free...

GTA 4 has region block in disc, and don´t work in NTSC consoles.
