    Transfer xbox account data between microsoft accounts


    The xbox live account that I have used since middle school was made under my dads email account which made sense back then but now that I'm an adult and no longer living with my parents i would like to attach my xbox account to my own microsoft account.
    I know I can change the email associated with the account but I'm pretty sure that changes the entire microsoft account and my dad still uses his. For the most part this isn't a huge issue but I am not able to access any of my games or buy anything on PC
    because I'm logged into my own microsoft account. Is there any possible way to just take the gamer tag off of my dads account and attach it to mine?

    Hello There,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer the gamertag or content to a different Microsoft account. Also, you are correct in saying that changing the Email would affect the entire Account. It would force your
    dad to log into what ever Email you changed it to.

    No. Nothing is transferable between accounts.

    Game Data and purchases cannot be transferred between Microsoft accounts. If you make a new account, it will let you make a new gamertag but your data/purchases will still only be on your old one.
