    Transfer Xbox 360 game save to Xbox One


    I would like to transfer my COD Modern Warfare 3 game saves (I have full level 50 weapon access) from my Xbox 360 to my Xbox One console.

    As far as I understand, I can only do this by playing the game on the 360 first, and saving it to the cloud storage, then use the cloud to retrieve the save on my Xbox One within the game. I don't have Live Gold membership, as I haven't played any multiplayer
    for a long time, so I don't think I can use the cloud for a storage option. Is this correct?

    I guess I need to purchase Gold membership to use the cloud save, just to achieve the transfer, unless there is another way?

    Any help appreciated.

    Are you transferring the Xbox 360 saved versions of the game? Because if it's the Xbox one version it won't transfer over to the 360 side.

    No you can't transfer you Xbox 360 game saves via a hard drive you will need to use an Xbox 360 to transfer the game saves to the cloud once you have done this your Xbox One should then see the game saves.

    The original Xbox games saves cannot be transferred. You will have to start those games again on the Xbox One if you want to play them. As for the Xbox 360 game saves, they can be saved to the cloud using the xbox 360, and they automatically transfer over
    when you play a 360 game on the One. All saves on the Xbox One are stored on the cloud, and on the Xbox One. You can find the saves for each game by highlighting your game on my games and apps, press the menu button on controller and select manage game, and
    from there you can find your saves.
