Transfer Saves to Other Profile

I'm sure this has been asked before..

My son has been using my xbox and profile to play games and for xmas he is getting his own xbox and profile; so how can transfer the saved games to the new console and profile?

Any ideas?

Question about save files

Game save files can not be transferred between separate profiles.
As to the location of save files, there are 2 separate ones. If you go to the game you want, press start on it, select manage game it'll bring up the game files and on the far right will be the save data. The other save area is in the cloud if your connected to the internet.

Xbox 360 system transfer HELP

So I shared an Xbox 360 console with a sibling and we each had our own profiles. So I purchased a new 360 Slim and wanted to take everything associated with my account on the initial console (profile, achievements, game saves) to the Slim.

I transferred everything on a USB but although my profile and achievements transferred onto the USB and loads on the Slim, no game saves to be found.

What can I do to harvest the game saves from the original console without causing problems to my sibling's account and content on the original system?

There are a few games that will allow you to transfer save files to other profiles although I believe you will be unable to earn any achievements from those. Otherwise, nothing can be transferred between profiles.

Yes they can.

Not all games allow it but you can move saves between profile by signing into the profile you want to move it to then find the save and select move. doing this will transfer ownership of the save to the new profile.

Like I said not all games allow it.

Oblivion is one game that lets you move saves between profiles. Alien vs predator doesn't allow it.

I've just tested it my self. I was able to transfer an oblivion save to one of my spare profiles and was able to load the save.

While it is possible to transfer saves between profiles, the game has to support the option. Even if it does, no achievements can be earned on a save transferred to another profile. I've only seen one game that allows moving a save from one profile to another
(one of the Lego games).

There is no way to transfer achievements between profiles.

Unfortunately, you cannot. A game has to specifically allow for a save to be transferrable between profiles. Even then, a transferred save cannot be used to earn achievements. The only game save that I've ever seen which could be transferred was one of the
Lego games (Star Wars, I think). While I'm sure there are others, most don't support the feature.
