Transfer purchased items to different LiveID

Hello,

I'll pass my XBOX 360 to my father as a gift as I won't need it any more. How can I transfer the purchased games off from my account to his account? As I bought those games I think I can give it to anyone I want just like the physical media.

See no legit reason to tie a purchased game to an account once and forever.

You may look into a License Transfer to fully recover previous purchased items on a different console. GOOD LUCK!!!

Was that pack purchased with the gamertag that you are using now or via a different gamertag. If it was from a different tag and you've changed consoles since it was first added you'll need to do a License Transfer to the new console using the tag that
originally purchased and downloaded the item.

 

You cannot transfer it to from one account to another. However as long as that account is on the same system as his profile and all licences are still there then any account should be able to access from the same system.

 

Thanks. But it makes no sense. I know he can use his Xbox with my account but it's not what I'm looking for. So if he add his profile to his Xbox where my account already resides with all the downloaded programs he won't be able to access the games assigned
to my LiveID, isn't?

 

It's very nice of you to pass your old console on to your father. However, as was stated above you cannot transfer the licenses. Digital licenses are linked specifically to your gamertag and cannot be moved.

However, so long as that console is functioning and those games were originally purchased on it your father will be able to access them without your gamertag being on the console or signed in.

But, if the console should die and he needs to purchase a new console he will no longer have access to the content.
