Transfer online games to another microsoft account

Dear all,

I hope someone can help me.

We have an xbox one s and my husband bought games on his microsoft account. My son (the only one who's playing) wants to create his own account and we'd like to transfers the online bought games to that account. Is this possible? If so: how?

Hey there!

Currently, there isn't a way to move a Gamertag (along with games, currency, achievements, etc) to a brand new Microsoft Account. However, you are able to share your games on your Xbox One console so that your brother can set up a new Microsoft Account with
a new Gamertag to play on. Here's how that solution will look like:

Solution 6: Share your Xbox Live Gold subscription and content on your Xbox One console

You can’t combine or merge Microsoft accounts, but if you have multiple accounts, you can share your Xbox Live Gold subscription and content on your Xbox One. To do this, make sure that all of your accounts are on the same Xbox One console, and then select
that console as your home Xbox. Now you can share your Xbox Live Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console.

While you can't migrate that content to a fresh account, your brother will at least be able to play the games that are on your account without the need for you to sign-in.

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. If your husband has the console set as his Home console, your son will be able to access the the games on his account.

Hi,

there is no way to transfer digital licences once bought but you can share those games to the son's account by signing in to the account with the games and then enable my home xbox.

How to enable; My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

Once enabled your son can enjoy those games on his account.

As long as your sons console remains as your home console then he should still be able to play the games you have installed. If you want to leave your account on this console then it is possible to change the setting so that it will ask for your password
when your profile is used, additionally you can also set up two step verification to help further secure your account and prevent purchases being made.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have question on transferring data. Unfortunately, you are unable to transfer games, data, etc. from one account to another. You can however set up

home console on your profile so your son is able to access all the games on his new profile. Only downside he will need to start over on the games.
