If you had a code for Flight Simulator which was added onto an account which I presume was your husbands then thats the account that has the game. If he logs into your computer then it can be installed but you can't transfer content from one account to another.

Hope your day is well. You mentioned you want to transfer Microsoft Flight Simulator to Steam. According to the Microsoft Flight Simulator FAQ, "content is tied to the platform you are playing on—if you purchase a DLC on Steam, you cannot transfer it to the Microsoft Store version and vice-versa."

How is your setup to install MS Flight Simulator? I mean, if you own a flight institution (or aeronautical engineering institution) with computers, you can install and license MS Flight Simulator on these computers and let the students use these computers on your education institution.

Now if you want to license MS Flight Simulator to be used on your students home computer (which will change like every year or so), it'll be a different situation.
