    Hi - I live in a norther community with limited access to internet. We had an Xbox One which has rarely been connected to the internet and is usually used while Off the network. Santa delivered a new Xbox X and when I have tried to use transfer games via
    an external hard drive the "saves" don't seem to get transferred. On XBOX 1 the saved game is 14Mb but when I look at it on the XBOX X its not even there.. I can't use the Cloud save options because when I do connect the Xbox One to the Internet I would have
    to download 20Gb or 30Gb of updates which fail using our internet access.

    I've been trying this with Red Dead Redemption II.

    - I've tried to just move the game to the external drive and plug that drive in the XBOX X. But when I start the game its as if I am start a brand new game. No saved games exsit

    - I've tried to use the move function, from XBOX1 to external drive back to XBOX X. No save game

    - I've tried to do a Network transfer from XBOX 1 to XBOX X ... no save games copied

    I just need to transfer the saved game without having to go to the cloud.

    Any solution that would let me move my saves of the XBOX 1 to the XBOX X would be welcome. I could then sell/give my xbox to someone else.

    You will not lose your games saves when you upgrade to the Xbox One X from Xbox One as your game saves are stored on the Cloud.

    You don't have to transfer game saves from the Xbox One to the Xbox One X.

    They (game saves) will sync once your console (Xbox One X) is connect to the internet.

    the console and then just launch the games from the external drive without having to install them to the local drive in the Xbox One X, or you can try the network transfer suggest by

    Your data stays saved locally on each console so no need to worry about data being erased from the old console. The new console will sync your profile data from the cloud and create a local save file on the new console.

    Hello,

    Yes, we are trying to move the saved games from the Xbox 1 to the new Xbox series x. We had put the profile on the new x series, and downloaded the game. We then used the local network sharing to try to transfer the same games and the digital community content from Farming Simulator 22 to the series X but cannot get them to transfer over.

    We are unsure as to why the saved games are not moving over or the mods.

    The mods we can just re-download if needed, but the saved games... thata the important part.

    Personally, I play locally and wouldn't mind being able to transfer my BC game saves from the 360 over to the X1 or from the other way around without hitting the pay wall.

    Unfortunately once he chose the local save it would have overwritten his cloud save and there is no way to recover it.

    Xbox files are not meant to be seen by a PC and transferred between the two without violating the terms of service.
