Transfer issues

I've been trying to transfer screen captures from my xbox one to my pc, and the only way I know how to do that is the app (since I've done it before) but now whenever I try to bring a capture over, it won't initiate the download, as in when I click the download
button on the Xbox app on the pc, it doesn't do anything.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

i have a profile on his console....im guessing i have to go in and just transfer my whole profile instead of just the selected game saves right?

 

Hi there,

there may have been some confusion caused with the app updating and changing the way it handles this process. As of now, when I click 'download' on a screenshot, a queue notification pops up and next to the download/delete options under the item, an 'open
folder' icon appears (once the queue shows 100% with a tick-mark next to it).

The folder opens and anything from the queue is displayed. Can you check if any of the above occurs for you?

 

When I click the download button, nothing is displayed at all.

 

Is the app updated to the latest version? 9.9.16003

If so, you could try to uninstall and then reinstall the app to see if this fixes the issue. Normally a built-in app like this doesn't have the option to uninstall but there is a trick you can use to do so. Here's the info you need:

I followed the steps in that link, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it's still giving me the same problem.

And yes, it was the same version as the one you mentioned.

 

The only other thing I could suggest at the moment is changing the folder where clips/screenshots are saved to. Go to settings in the app > game DVR > saving captures. Once done, try to download a screenshot again.

If that doesn't work, I can only suggest contacting Windows 10 support...

 

I don't think that'll work, but I'll try, also, I think I found away around the problem with screenshots, I can view them on the profile on the xbox website and download them from there, and I was only doing this for the screenshots anyway, so videos don't
concern me that much.
