    I bought a 12 month gold subscription for my son and applied to his account, but turns out he can't get any free games because they are either (18) or for xbox360 and a child account on xbox one can't get the xbox360 games - thanks for the helpful 'use an
    xbox 360' comment, but this wasn't specified in the terms.

    Can we transfer the subscription to my account so I can download - I believe I can share the benefits like multi-user play with my son on the same xbox?

    If we can't transfer, can I get a refund so I can buy a new subscription?

    No, to get an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription on another account you will have to buy another Gold subscription, you cannot transfer Gold from one account to another.

    Currently, there is not a way to transfer an existing Xbox Live Gold membership from one Xbox Live account to the other. However, I do recommend reaching out to our chat or phone support team if they can further assist with a possible refund. You can reach
    them by visiting our Contact Us page.

    No, to get an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription on another account you will have to buy another Gold subscription, you cannot transfer Gold from one account to another.

    This doesnt work as apparently they cant transfer a Gold subscription remainder from one gamertag to another when the gold theyre trying to transfer is from a prepaid 12+2 Month :(
