Transfer games and settings to new Xbox one X

I move all the games, data, and settings from my old XB1 to the external Hardrive I use for that console. Bought a new XB1X and plugged in the Hard Drive, it shows all games and setting but none of the games run. I dont know if my save data is there ither

Did Any one Else have issuse when transferring data from xbox one to xbox one x?

Did Any one Else have issuse when transferring data from xbox one to xbox one x Via Network transfer?

If so try resetting the old xbox. Settings>System>console Info>reset Console>reset and keep my games and apps.

Then sign into your new console And transfer data.

I wasted a lot of time before I discovered this, as my new xbox one x did not see old xbox, , even though I had set allow data transfer on both consoles.

Did you connect to Live? Your save data is also in the cloud.

you can't just copy a hd and expect it to work on a new console

No console allows you to do that

That only works on the same console

This prevents pirating

You must make the new console your home console and redownload the content

Actually with the One it does as long as you are signed into the same account. There is no reinstallation required.

Yes, they have a feature they call plug and play, so I followed the instructions, moved and backed up the games and data but none of the game will run now, I guess they are considered installed, because the error messages tells me
to uninstall then reinstall the games, but this would require me to do this over 100 times to get all my games to run.
